A/B Testing FAQ

What is A/B testing and why do we do it?
One of the major goals of our product team is to release small changes, test them, and then iterate quickly. The purpose of A/B testing is to present car shoppers with different variations of the user experience to determine which version achieves the best results, all in an effort to better our solution for you.

What types of tests will you be running?
The tests may include changes to wording, flows or the placement of call-to-action buttons for consumers.

Will I be a part of every test?
No, each test will be evaluated and populated by hand with dealers who best fit the test to avoid biasing the data and impacting customizations.

For how long are tests run?
It depends on the test; some may take weeks, others longer. The more traffic we can test, the faster we can complete the test.

Will all visitors see the active test?
No, A/B testing works by showing equal portions of visitors different versions. If a test has two versions (a normal and test version), then half of the visitors will see the normal site and half will see the test version.

How will this impact my website performance?
Our goal for A/B testing is to improve the digital retailing experience on your website. We don’t expect the testing will negatively affect your website performance.
