Kelley Blue Book’s Senior Managing Editor Matt DeLorenzo writes This Week in Car Buying, a weekly column on KBB.com. In this week’s article, Matt highlights some of the Memorial Day Holiday sales events. GM has announced that the mid-engine C8 2020 Chevrolet Corvette will be unveiled on July 18. In the meantime, Chevrolet is working hard to close out its stock of about 9,000 Corvette in inventory. Proving that subscriptions are just not for manufacturers and dealers, Enterprise Rent-A-Car announced that it will be offering the services with a pilot program in Minnesota, Missouri and Nevada. Also, gas prices are continuing to climb with the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reporting that early May’s national average of $2.90 per gallon is up five cents over year ago levels.
