Dickinson Fleet’s Charles Thomas Accepts Patriot Award
On behalf of everyone at Dickinson Fleet Services, we are honored to announce that Mr. Charles Thomas has received the Department of Defense Patriot Award. This prestigious award was presented by Mr. Barney Hayes (IN-ESGR volunteer) in a recent ceremony. Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense program that develops and promotes supportive work environments for Service members
The Patriot Award is meant to recognize employers who support those serving in the military by offering career opportunities and allowing for things such as flexible schedules, time off from work prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leave of absences if needed. Mr. Thomas was nominated by SGT Sonny Sizemore who serves with the Ohio Army.

Volunteers, hailing from small business and industry, government, education, and prior military service bring a vast wealth of experience to assist in serving employers, Service members, and their families. Together with Headquarters ESGR staff and a small cadre of support staff for each State Committee, volunteers work to promote and enhance employer support for military service in the Guard and Reserve.
