5 Quick Highlights from 2016 & Future Forecast
It’s hard to believe we are heading into the final quarter of 2016! What a year it has been here at Dickinson Fleet. As we move into 2017, I wanted to take a moment to highlight 5 quick pieces of company news from the first 9 months.
#1- 1st Annual Dickinson Fleet Top Tech Competition
As you might have already seen, this year we launched what will be our annual Top Tech competition. We had 400 participants in the beginning and by the end were able to send 2 of our Top Techs to off to TMC SuperTech Nationals in North Carolina. Both were able to make it to the Finals, which was an exciting outcome for our first year. We’re already looking forward to doing it again in 2017.
#2 – Our Partnership with Andretti Autosport
Dickinson Fleet Services partnered with Andretti Autosport back in May to provide complete management and maintenance services for the Andretti team of transport vehicles. This included being a part of the Indy 500 winning team that supported Alexander Rossi as he became the first rookie winner since Helio Castroneves in 2001 in the historic 100th running of this race. The Andretti partnership will continue into the future and we anticipate more successful years to come.
#3 – Elevated Platforms on Maintenance Trucks
We are in the process of getting our mobile maintenance trucks setup with elevated platforms. This will enable us to take our truck repair services to the next level, literally. Safety has always been a top priority and these easy-to-use platforms will let our technicians safely complete work when an elevated position is preferred. This also opens up the capability to service trailers more efficently . We’re excited to add these to our lineup and expand our offering as we close out this year and move into next.
Each year, Dickinson Fleet Services makes it a point to recognize one supplier that has gone above and beyond with regard to the services provided to our team. This year we presented the Vendor of the Year honor to Goodyear for bringing Dickinson Fleet Services on as a partner and initiating Goodyear Tire Training for all of our technicians in 2016.
#5 – Recognizing Maintenance Facility Safety
In March, we recognized our maintenance facilities for their outstanding commitment to safety. Our team from all combined locations nationwide has over 175,000 hours of service without an incident. That’s definitely something to celebrate as our team of technicians goes to work every day in all weather conditions. A lot of miles are covered with our mobile truck repair and maintenance services. Safety has always been a top priority for our team and our customers.
Future of Dickinson Fleet
Each partnership and new program we roll out has a strategic purpose behind it. It’s all to continue to position us to be the leader in truck repair and maintenance services nationwide both now and into the future. We currently have 200 mobile trucks equipped with state of the art technology visiting our customers nightly in nearly every major city in the country. We will continue to grow our services, keeping safety and client satisfaction as a top priority.
