The challenges have been undertaken, skills have been put to the test, and now the results of TMC SuperTech are in – and Dickinson Fleet Services has done itself proud once again.

DFS has long been one of the bigger contenders in the SuperTech competition, even creating an internal competition of their own to promote a spirit of teamwork and increasing skills. Their company-wide event has produced only the best of the best in each of three divisions – Heavy Truck, Light and Medium Duty Truck, and Trailer – and the top techs receive the honor of moving on to TMC SuperTech, where their talents were put to an even higher test.

This year, Dickinson Fleet Services was proud to send Zachary Nikorak, Jose Feliciano, Jeremy Piepmeier, and Chris Thomas as their representatives to the TMC SuperTech event. These gentlemen were already at the top of their game, but they took it to a new level at SuperTech, as they endured both written and hands-on skill challenges over the course of several days, competing against other participants from across the nation.

Being selected as a participant at TMC SuperTech is already an honor in and of itself, but the representatives from DFS proved why they were truly among the best of the best in their field. Mr. Nikorak placed third overall nationwide in the Light and Medium Duty Track. He went on to win first place in the in LMV (Light/Medium Vehicle) Liftgate Station.

Next up, Mr. Feliciano was honored by placing fifteenth overall in Heavy Duty Track. He and Mr. Piepmeier worked together to achieve fourth place in a Teams competition later the same day.

Mr. Thomas received high praise for his technician skills – in face, he was named the best Trailer Tech present at the national level, and the judges commented that Mr. Thomas was the tech they “would want working on their fleet.”

Each of these participants was joined and supported by their spouses and children, the Dickinson Fleet Services Training Team, and Executive Officer Ted Coltrain. While the other team members of DFS were not able to attend the competition in person, they were certainly cheering their colleagues on in spirit as they worked to achieve these high honors.

Now, these techs and their teammates can begin focusing on what’s coming next – namely, the next DFS Top Tech completion and the 2020 TMC SuperTech competition. The next SuperTech series of challenges is slated to take place September 19 – 24 – and you can bet that some of this year’s representatives from DFS will be back to show why their talents and experience are the ones to beat.

Please join us in congratulating our four competitors! Their hard work and dedication to excellence has proved why Dickinson Fleet Services is the standard for the fleet industry.
