TMC SuperTech Finals 2016 Roundup
The TMC SuperTech competition has concluded. We’re proud to announce that both of our technicians advanced to Round 2, or the Finals. After hours of competition at the highest level, Dickinson Fleet couldn’t be more proud of how our Top Techs finished. But before we get to the final standings, let’s take a quick look at how it all began…
The Road to SuperTech
It started way back in June as 400 participants in our first annual Top Tech Competition put their skills to the test. We were blown away by the participation and things quickly heated up.
In July, after making it through the semi-final round, the road led the top 10 to Indianapolis, Indiana for the finals. Here the top 10 technicians made their way through 10 challenge stations. In the end, out of 220 points available, there was only a 20 point spread within the entire field and only 1 point separated the 1st runner up from the Top Tech title. The 2 winners were Cincinnati’s Jeff Brinkmann (Top Tech) and Orlando’s Jose Feliciano (Runner-Up)
The stage was then set for the top 2 technicians, Jeff and Jose, to head to TMC SuperTech in Raleigh, North Carolina from September 18th – 21st to compete alongside the best of the best. To help show our support, Dickinson Fleet ran the ad shown here in Transport Topics prior to the competition. Not only were these 2 technicians excited to advance, they were ready for some much needed relaxation at a luxury hotel on North Carolina’s Outer Banks following the competition.
TMC SuperTech Final Standings
But first thing’s first, it was time to handle business. And these two went above and beyond. Out of approximately 240 technicians, representing 36 companies both advanced through two rounds of competition and into the Finals of the TMC Super Tech. Though we fell just short of making it to the championship podium, needless to say, making it to the Finals was an exciting outcome for
our first year. And now that we’ve got some experience, we’re confident it’s only going to get better from here.
Looking Forward to Next Year
We couldn’t be more proud of the these 2 techs and their performance at TMC SuperTech. Not only did they represent themselves well, but they represented the entire Dickinson Fleet team. We look forward to continuing to grow our team with fine technicians like Jeff and Jose. A special “thank you” to everyone who followed along from the beginning of this Top Tech journey. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
