Dickinson Fleet’s Top Tech Finals Are Here
The Regional Semifinals of the 2016 Dickinson Top Tech Competition are in the books and the finals are here!
In late June, the semifinals were held at the DFS branches in Atlanta and Indianapolis. 28 technicians competed across both locations to narrow the field down to the top 10. The competition during the semifinals round was made up of 14 stations with the technicians rotating through every 30 minutes.
With no previous knowledge of what would be taking place during these tests, the top technicians competed in both written and hands-on challenges. Each Semifinal location awarded a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finisher based on the points accumulated in the competition.
Atlanta Semifinals – Top 3
1st Place – Jeremy Piepmeier, Atlanta Mobile
2nd Place – Jacob Wooley, Houston Mobile
3rd Place – Josh Lawhorn, Houston Mobile
These Top 3 finishers from Atlanta will join the Top 3 from Indianapolis (listed below) along with 4 other At Large qualifiers to compete for the title of Dickinson Fleet’s Top Tech today!
The Finalists
Being part of the Top 10 means these 3 from Atlanta have made it through the entry level exams, passed the semi finals tests and are ready to take on the 10 challenge stations at the finals in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The “Top Tech” will be determined today (July 22nd) and that person will represent Dickinson Fleet at the National Super Tech Competition in North Carolina in October. All 10 technicians will be enjoying at suite at the Brickyard 400 on both Saturday and Sunday along with their spouses or significant others.

Top Tech Winner
In addition to being named the first “Top Tech” and receiving cash prizes, the Dickinson Top Tech and their guest will also be treated to a three night luxury hotel stay on North Carolina’s Outer Banks (including expenses) for more rest, relaxation and recreation following the competition.
