Once again, we feel great about the way our team stepped it up to support one another and we’re looking forward to the next step as our Top Techs represent Dickinson Fleet Services on the big stage.
Having finished as the Runner-Up in our 1st Top Tech Competition last year, 2017 was particularly sweet for Jose Feliciano as he claimed the overall title of Top Tech this year! For Jose, capturing the overall title of Top Tech this year was a “dream come true.” Last year, he was just 1 point away and we know it was a long, long year of waiting to be able to compete again. But his patience and hard work sure has paid off.
It was great to see the number of people that came together to root for Jose and cheer him on. Competing under the pressure can be a little stressful, but our great team made the Top Tech Competition an awesome experience for everyone. We know Jose is especially appreciative of the incredible support. As Jose said, “This company is like one big family. We all know each other and look out for one another. That’s how I see it.”
The Next Step
As Jose focuses on the next chapter of his journey, TMC SuperTech, it’s clear to see how much pride he has to represent our company on the National stage. As he says, this competition shows what you are made of not just on your knowledge, but your character as well.
Getting Involved
Jose shares that last year, he didn’t really know what he was capable of. Once he began to put his skills to the test through the first rounds, he started building confidence and realized that he could seriously compete. As he mentions, he went from not believing to have full confidence in himself. He encourages others within the company to step up and participate in this experience that has helped him become a better overall technician.
