Tuesday August 12, 2025

Amy Mills, executive vice president and chief strategy officer at Cox Automotive, will retire at the end of the year after nearly 25 years with the company.
Mills joined Cox in 2001, holding more than a dozen leadership roles spanning brand marketing, product management, client service and strategy. Her career began as an assistant marketing manager at Manheim and culminated in her role as the architect of Cox Automotive’s enterprise strategy.
“Amy has been the guiding force behind Cox Automotive’s long-term growth strategy,” said Steve Rowley, president of Cox Automotive. “She helped us prepare for the digital revolution in automotive commerce, and she led our investment and expansion into ownership and next life markets for fleet services and EV battery services.”
Mills will lead the strategy team through the end of the year and assist with the transition to her successor, who will be named following a comprehensive search that is underway.
