In the automotive world, most of the buzz is about new cars. But the used car business is huge and getting bigger.

That was the message of executives from Cox Automotive, who were in Riverside this week to share some of its research with members of Motor Press Guild.

Used car sales surpass new car sales by 2 1/2 times, 41 million versus 17.5 million, said Michelle Krebs, director of automotive relations for Cox Automotive and senior analyst.
