- Manheim Express in-app buyer experience provides dealers quick access to view, bid on and purchase vehicles from vast selection of fresh, local inventory.
- Continues expansion of technologies supporting the Manheim marketplace, where more than 2 million vehicles were sold in 2018 to digital buyers.
ATLANTA, January 22, 2019 – As dealers look for more efficiencies, Manheim continues to invest in its digital marketplace to help them buy and sell vehicles wherever and whenever it makes the most sense for them. At NADA 2019, Manheim will showcase a new addition to the Manheim Express app—an in-app buyer experience that helps dealers quickly and confidently purchase fresh, local inventory. With revolutionary 360-degree imaging technology, along with moveable images that enable dealers to assess condition and a host of other features, the new Manheim Express buyer experience makes searching, saving and buying vehicles easier than ever.
The buyer experience, available in the Manheim Express app in late January, builds on the Manheim Express mobile app launched last year to give dealers a fast, easy and self-service way to list and sell inventory. The new experience appeals to increasing demand by dealers to acquire inventory through digital channels. Last year, more than 2 million vehicles were sold through Manheim to digital buyers.
“Manheim is committed to providing dealers new digital tools that streamline the wholesale process and help them drive profitable growth for their dealership,” said Derek Hansen, vice president, Offsite Solutions at Manheim. “The Manheim Express buyer experience puts access to fresh, local inventory with revolutionary 360 degree imaging at the fingertips of dealers, giving them the detailed information they need to quickly and confidently acquire the inventory their customers want.”
The new in-app buyer experience is specifically designed for dealers focused on purchasing inventory. Dealers can review inspection info, bid on and purchase vehicles right from the app—with vehicle damage and condition issues surfaced at the top of the listing for easy viewing and consideration. They also can easily sort and filter search results, as well as tag favorites. Key benefits and features include:
- Access to a selection of local competitively-priced inventory, enabling buyers to purchase vehicles from dealers in their area that they may already know and do business with.
- Vehicle listings that use Manheim Express’ revolutionary 360-degree imaging and detailed condition information, giving dealers the tools they need to accurately assess a vehicle’s condition.
- Inventory at all price-ranges and types, making it easy for buyers to find the right vehicles for their customers.
The buyer experience is part of a more than $100 million investment Manheim is making in its digital marketplace through 2019. It continues the rollout of innovative tools and integrated services to help dealers reduce waste, turn inventory faster and drive profitability. Digital buyers account for almost half of all vehicles sold through Manheim auctions, and Manheim Express inventory boasts more than 139,000 unique buyers every month.
“Our dealer and commercial clients are clearly embracing the digital marketplace to drive new efficiencies in their respective businesses,” Hansen said. “Manheim will continue to look for ways to expand and add new digital capabilities to fuel this demand and meet the needs of our clients.”
