Make continued safety the top priority for your employees and customers

The ongoing safety and well-being of your employees and your customers is essential. Issues of cleanliness, health and safety even once lockdowns are over are not going away. Maintain clear and transparent lines of communication through all of your traditional and social media channels as well as on your website, and update frequently.

Commitment to client and team member health and safety

In select circumstances, Cox Automotive team members may visit clients at their place of business. Following are health and safety protocols all Cox Automotive employees will follow while visiting client businesses.

Employees should observe the following precautions during client visits:

  • No handshakes or close greetings
  • Keep 6 feet apart at all times
  • Follow conference room social distancing guidance provided below
  • Avoid driving or transportation of clients with personal or business cars
  • Avoid sharing of computer equipment or iPads
  • Face mask must be worn at all times during the meeting
  • Hand sanitizer (wash hands before and after meetings, if possible)
Follow all local government requirements. If possible, schedule appointments to limit the time onsite and always practice social distancing during the meeting. Face covering is required and limit time to no more than 10 minutes, within six feet of clients. Only use Cox Automotive equipment when showing clients how to use Cox Automotive tools, do not use client equipment (computer, iPad, etc.).
  • Face masks must always be worn by employees during the meeting
  • Employees should wash hands before and after entering client conference rooms
  • Maintain proper recommended distancing when possible – 6 feet apart (every third chair)

Guidance per office SF

  • Standard Offices 10′ x 15′ (150 SF) – no more than 3 people
  • Small Offices 12′ x 10′ (120 SF) – no more than 2 people
  • Supervisor Workstation 10′ x 10′ (100 SF) – no more than 1 person
  • There was a known confirmed case of COVID-19 onsite in the last 14 days
  • Any employee at the client’s business is showing any of the following symptoms: cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell
  • The location cannot support the number of people meeting with a large enough conference area
  • The client’s place of business is unable to support Cox Automotive’s general guidance around social distancing
Currently, we are asking that Cox Automotive employees do not meet customers for lunch or dinner. If a meal meeting must occur, employees should not transport customers. Employees are asked to avoid restaurants that do not follow social distancing guidance. If two Cox Automotive employees travel together, employees should wear a face covering and have no more than one person per row of seats in vehicle.
