Speaker: Jonathan Smoke, Chief Economist, Cox Automotive

When: Thursday, 1/24/2019, 3:55 p.m. (PST)

Where: InterContinental San Francisco, 888 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA

The Retail Brand Scorecards, compiled by Cox Automotive in association with Automotive News, provide a comprehensive and data-driven framework for comparing OEM brands with one another using multiple performance metrics relevant to a franchise dealer’s ability to succeed. Each make can be compared to other makes within the Luxury and Non-Luxury market classes to assess which brands are top of the class, above average, or just getting by. The underlying metrics cover key performance areas such as consumer brand perceptions, consumer traffic, consumer loyalty, the ability to capture ideal customers, vehicle lineup, age of offerings, geographic consistency in sales, and differences in dealer profitability.

Where: 3024W Moscone Center

Don’t Delay Dealership Disruption! Change isn’t on the horizon – it’s already here. Paradigm shifts in the automotive retail industry are emerging everywhere. Consumers have adopted subscriptions and on-demand access to goods and services, and we need to assess how tomorrow’s dealerships role will change in response. How will dealerships change and how will software / technology change how dealerships deliver. If you are hesitant to implement innovative technology quickly, it’s understandable. It can be hard to distinguish meaningful strides from the noise and widgets. We’ll discuss the above coupled with how to evaluate technology for your needs. Join this workshop to better meet the changing expectations of consumers and turn these shifts into profit opportunities.
