For the second year in a row, a Cox Automotive executive has been chosen as a NADA Distinguished Speaker. This year, Dale Pollak, EVP, Cox Automotive, and Founder, vAuto, will join Alan Haig, President, Haig Partners, to share their insights and perspective on the future of the automotive industry. Dale will share a view that tomorrow holds a wealth of opportunity for dealers who prepare for it today.

Today’s new vehicle market carries some significant clouds. Sales aren’t growing like they used to. Margins continue to decline. Inventory expense is up, rising with every interest rate increase. Virtually every franchise dealer feels the pain, but only some are actively working to mitigate these more challenging market conditions. Discover how these dealers are taking a more science-based approach to new vehicle inventory management. See how the application of market data and insights help dealers stock a higher percentage of in-demand units, price in line with local supply and demand and present each vehicle in the more digital, transparent manner today’s customers expect (both online and in the showroom). Since the advent of electronic credit applications in early 2000, shifts in the way the automotive retail industry functions have been rapid and frequent. But with so many new technologies introduced every day, how can dealers determine which technologies could really increase profitability – and which are just fads? In this workshop, dealers will learn how to cut through our industry’s technological clutter to identify tools that will drive sales. Mike Barrington, dealership technology innovator and Senior Vice President of Sales at Dealertrack, will demystify several emerging technologies, including connected deal flow, electronic contracting and titling, and next-generation credit application processing. Dealers will leave this workshop with tips for identifying the best technology approach for their business, reducing dependencies on multiple providers, and planning for the next generation of sales-boosting technology.

This workshop is a crash course in data quality, using that data to personalize your marketing and understanding data and online behavior that leads to sales in your dealership. We will focus finding simple ways to use data to know your customer better and know what online behaviors show they are getting ready to buy. The best marketers today know everything about their customers — whether they are expecting a child, what books they read, what food they eat, even what else they are shopping for online and what these buying signals mean for your dealership. This may seem complicated, but it’s not — it’s available and attainable for you today. Learn why you should be investing in understanding the data and what results it can deliver for you.
